Nintendo Plans A “Zelda” Mobile Game

In the wake of the success of “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” game, a title which is expected to dominate Game of the Year lists in December, comes word that the franchise plans to spread to mobile platforms.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Nintendo and DeNA are working on developing a “Legend of Zelda” game which will serve as their next mobile title after the upcoming “Animal Crossing”.

“Animal Crossing,” which was supposed to hit in March, is now likely to come out in late 2017 which would suggest the mobile ‘Zelda’ would hit in 2018.

Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima recently indicated the company plans to release two to three smartphone titles per year.
