Niki Caro Has Fallen Out Of The Sky

Niki Caro (“North Country,” “Whale Rider”) will adapt and direct Ken Dornstein’s memoir “The Boy Who Fell Out of the Sky” for Warner Bros. Picturessays The Hollywood Reporter.

The story follows Dornstein’s brother David, who died with 269 others in the 1988 Pam Am Flight 103 airline terrorist bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland.

The film also will follow the story of Ken Dornstein, who learns more about his older brother and comes to terms with the tragedy after discovering hundreds of thousands of words that David, a promising writer, left behind.

Caro is at work on the script and will set the film in the present and past through flashbacks.
