British actor Nicholas Hoult (“A Single Man,” TV’s “Skins”) has joined the cast of George Miller’s “Mad Max: Fury Road” for Warner Bros. Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.
The story is said to be set a short while after events in 1985’s “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome” which keeps Max’s character relatively young. Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy star in the main roles.
Singer/actress Zoe Kravitz (“The Brave One”), Australian actress Adelaide Clemens (TV’s “Love My Way,” “Wolverine”) and the previously-reported Teresa Palmer are also in talks are also in talks to join.
Hoult will play Nux, Kravitz plays Five Wives, and Palmer and Clemens star in a convoy being chased by bad guys. Filming kicks off in Australia later this year.
