The full trailer for Netflix’s “The Witcher” series adaptation is set to go online tomorrow according to the official account. A brief teaser has been released in anticipation offering very brief new glimpses of Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), Ciri (Freya Allan) and Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) engaged in some battle.
Based on Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski’s series of fantasy novels, which spawned the hugely popular video game franchise, the story focuses on monster hunters known as Witchers who develop supernatural abilities at a young age. Geralt of Rivia is a solitary Witcher who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts.
No date has yet been announced for the eight-episode first season though it’s hoped tomorrow’s trailer drop will reveal it. Previous suggestions have hinted at a mid-December launch.
