Newsroom Premiere Gets 2.1M Viewers

HBO’s series premiere of Aaron Sorkin’s “The Newsroom” pulled in 2.1 million viewers in its initial airing at 10pm.

That’s just behind the series premiere for “Game of Thrones” with 2.2 million in 2010, and ahead of “True Blood” which took in 1.4 million viewers in 2008 (but pulled in 4.7 million viewers on Sunday for its fifth season’s third episode).

‘Newsroom’ managed another 600,000 in its repeat airing afterwards. Now, to help get word of mouth out about the show, HBO has released the full pilot episode on Youtube which you can watch by clicking here.
