Filming of explosions and car stunts on "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" took place at Long Beach's Queensway Bridge yesterday and will continue today reports TF Movie Chronicles.

Optimus Prime's truck incarnation was spotted in the filming (photos here) and Chinese road sign posts have been put up in preparation for the movie shoot.

Also interesting factoid today, due to the production slowdown caused by the threat of an actors strike, "Transformers" and the Da Vinci Code prequel "Angels & Demons" are the only two major studio films currently being shot in Southern California.
