Will Sasso and Ian Ziering have signed on to star in sword-and-sandals spoof "National Lampoon's The Legend of Awesomest Maximus" says ShowHype.

The pair join Kristanna Loken, Sophie Monk, Tony Cox and Rip Torn in the project which will make fun of the likes of "300," "Troy," "Gladiator" and more.

Jeff Kanew (The Revenge of the Nerds) will direct from a script by Jeff Burinescu.
