Fergie is in negotiations to join the Rob Marshall-helmed musical "Nine" for the Weinstein Company and Relativity Media reports Variety.

Fergie will play Saraghina, a lusty woman who introduces lead role Guido (Daniel Day-Lewis) to the world of sexuality.

The singer has appeared on-screen before in small roles in "Poseidon" and "Grindhouse".

Marion Cottilard, Penelope Cruz, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Sophia Loren and Judi Dench also star.

Shooting starts in October in the U.K.
