"Fight Club" art director Chris Gorak is attached to direct and pen the screenplay for the gritty cop drama "SIS" at Warners Bros. Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.

SIS stands for special investigations section, a unit of the police force built to combat some of the most brutal criminals while they are in the midst of committing crimes, and often operates under looser restrictions than a traditional police unit.

The feature will center on characters in the SIS unit of the LAPD. Casting is presently under way.

"The Shield" showrunner Kurt Sutter and "Inside Man" scribe Russell Gewirtz wrote earlier drafts of the script.
