Choreographer Anne Fletcher is set to direct Disney comedy "Matadors" for Adam Shankman to produce reports Variety.

Penned by Mike Bender, the film is based on the true story of the Chicago Bulls' troupe of male dancing cheerleaders.

The main story will deal with a pair of basketball fans who form a cheerleading squad, and will feature several major dance sequences.

Disney is also in negotiations with the NBA to get the league's full co-operation on the project.
