    By Garth FranklinTuesday, July 1st 2008 12:02am
image Producer Charlie Loventhal and Leverage are teaming for a feature film adaptation of Jim Thompson's 1953 novel "Recoil" says Variety.

The story follows a young inmate who's sprung from prison, only to be set up for murder by the same corrupt political insiders who sponsored his parole.

Ralph Pezzullo ("The Walk-In") has been set to write the script. Loventhal will finance and produce. Previous Thompson works to have been adapted to film include "The Getaway," "The Grifters" and "After Dark, My Sweet".
