Steve Buscemi, Ray Liotta, Jean Smart and M. Emmet Walsh have joined the Dimension Films comedy "Youth in Revolt" says the trades.

An adaptation of the popular novels by C.D. Payne, the story follows Nick Twisp (Michael Cera), a smart, sexually obsessed teen living in a world of moronic adults.

Liotta will play a cop who is having an affair with Twisp's mom (Smart). When that relationship goes sour, the cop gets his twisted revenge on the mom by going after Nick, who stands accused of arson. Buscemi plays Twisp's father.

Miguel Arteta will helm the project when shooting begins in July.
