Mary Elizabeth Winstead is in negotiations to star in the big screen adaptation of "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" says The Hollywood Reporter.

Edgar Wright ("Hot Fuzz," "Shaun of the Dead") is directing the adventure romance in which Winstead will play the dream woman of a young slacker (Michael Cera). But the only way he can win her heart is by battling and defeating her seven evil ex-boyfriends.

Michael Bacall and Wright wrote the screenplay based on Bryan Lee O'Malley graphic novel.
