Former "Daily Show" correspondent Rob Corddry ("What Happens in Vegas") has landed his first starring role in New Line's action comedy "Project A".

According to Reuters, Corddry will star as "A," a man trained by the U.S. government as a Cold War experiment to become the world's biggest jerk.

Ben Stiller's Red Hour production company will produce, but no director is yet attached.

Corddry is presently preparing to portray former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer in Oliver Stone's "W," which he will shoot in June.
