  • Next "Terminator" To Be PG-13
    By Garth FranklinMonday, May 5th 2008 7:41am
image Production kicks off today on "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins" and its been confirmed that the filmmakers are going into new territory - with a PG-13 rating says Variety.

Set in post-apocalyptic 2029, an adult John Connor (Christian Bale) leads the war to save humanity from the killing machines. Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin and Moon Bloodgood co-star.

The three previous Terminator films have all been given an R-rating. Why the change? Halcyon co-founder Victor Kubicek says "The ratings have changed...the PG-13 has increased in intensity."

Did they discuss the possibility of an R-rating with Warners? "We won't force it. We are carrying on in the tradition of the mythology, with an exciting approach to the action. If we can make a compelling film to reach the widest audience, why wouldn't we do it?"
