Kyle McLachlan, Bruce Greenwood and Joan Chen have joined Bruce Beresford's adaptation of the bestselling Aussie novel "Mao's Last Dancer" says Variety.

They join Jack Thompson, Aden Young, Amanda Schull and Shungbao Wang star in the pic based on the autobiography of dancer Li Cunxin, who escaped China toward the end of the Cultural Revolution and later migrated to Australia.

Penned by "Shine" scribe Jan Sardi, shooting is scheduled to get underway in China next month.
