2005's Oscar-winning best film "Crash" is being turned into a thirteen-episode, one-hour original drama series for the Starz cable network.

Director/Writer Paul Haggis along with producers Bobby Moresco, Bob Yari, Don Cheadle, Mark R. Harris and Tom Nunan who all worked on the 2005 film are involved in the series co-produced by Lionsgate and debuting exclusively on Starz in 2008.

This marks only the second time a Best Picture Oscar-winner has been turned into a series, the first being "In the Heat of the Night". Production on the drama is scheduled to begin in the Spring.
