Myriad Pictures and Studio 407 are adapting Peter Kwong's upcoming eco-horror comic book "Hybrid" into a live-action feature says Reuters.

The plot follows vacationing college students stalked by a mutant creature from the deep. The monster, who emerged from polluted waters, gets his revenge on humans by "fishing" for them in the sea.

In a prestrike deal, Kwong will adapt the screenplay. Principal photography is tentatively set to begin in mid-2008 off the coast of Thailand.
