  • Berk/Lane Employs "Company" & "Ships"
    By Garth FranklinTuesday January 15th 2008 12:48am
image "ER" and "The West Wing" producer-director John Wells is set to direct the drama feature "The Company Men" for Berk/Lane Entertainment reports the trades.

Wells also wrote the script and is serving as producer of the film, which centers on the personal impact that downsizing has on different executives in a company.

In particular, the film focuses on one middle-age man and the effects that losing his job has on his family and life. "Company" has no official production start date because of the writers strike.

Berk/Lane Entertainment are also developing the romantic comedy "All the Ships at Sea" to be written and directed by Vic Levin ("Win a Date With Tad Hamilton"). The story follows two pals who fall for the same woman.
