  • Campbell Out of Lee's "Miracle"

    image Due to scheduling conflicts, Naomi Campbell has pulled out of Spike Lee's latest film "Miracle at St. Anna" reports Blackfilm.

    The film follows four African-American Buffalo soldiers of the 92nd Infantry Division who get trapped in a a small tuscan village on the Gothic Line during the Italian Campaign of World War II. The film deals with the massacre of Sant'Anna di Stazzema perpetrated by the Nazis in retaliation to Italian partisan activity.

    "Fantastic Four" and "The Last King of Scotland" actress Kerry Washington will replace the former supermodel in the role. Washington had previously been directed Lee back in 2004's "She Hate Me".

    Michael K. Williams ("Gone Baby Gone," HBO's "The Wire") has also joined the cast. Touchstone Pictures will release the project this Fall.
