Her disastrous attempt at relaunching her music career early last year made headlines around the world. Now, Britney Spears is trying the comeback road again - this time with her movie career.

Spears is apparently being lined up to appear in director Tommy Parker's new film "Memoirs Of A Medicated Child" according to The New York Post.

Spears will play the girlfriend of a misdiagnosed mentally ill patient if she agrees to star in the film, she was allegedly chosen for the role by producers ahead of fellow actress Lindsay Lohan.

Parker says "As far as Britney's concerned, we're talking." Spears last appearance on the big screen was in 2002's "Crossroads".
