Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson are teaming up for the romantic comedy "Bride Wars" for New Regency and 20th Century Fox says Variety.

Hathaway and Hudson will play best friends who are pitted against each other when their wedding dates clash. They compete for venues, services and guests, once it's clear that neither will step aside.

Gary Winick has signed to direct and June Diane Raphael and Casey Wilson completed the scriprt pre-strike. Production will begin early next year.
