Warner Bros. has picked up Jon Lucas and Scott Moore's comedy spec script "Hangover" for Todd Phillips ("Road Trip," "Old School," "Starsky and Hutch") to direct and produce says the trades.

The story follows three friends who lose the groom at his Las Vegas bachelor party 48 hours before the wedding and must retrace their inebriated bad decisions to figure out where things went wrong.

The studio is eyeing "Hangover" as a prestrike movie, produced under Phillips' Green Hat Films.
