  • Eleven Injured On "Valkyrie" Set
    By Garth FranklinMonday August 20th 2007 7:47am
image Eleven people have been injured, one of them seriously, on the Berlin set of Tom Cruise's new movie "Valkyrie" says The Daily Telegraph.

The group were hit by a truck on a curve in the Mitte neighbourhood during filming last night according to the police. Filming at historical locations in Berlin's government district was suspended and the truck was being examined for mechanical defects.

In Valkyrie, Cruise stars as Colonel Count Claus Schenk von Stauffenberg, a leader of the failed 1944 plot to kill Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler by placing a bomb in a briefcase at a briefing at Wolfsschanze, or Wolf's Lair, the German military high command in Eastern Prussia.
