Director Tom Tykwer ("Perfume: The Story of a Murderer") and X Filme Creative are re-teaming to produce the Sony Pictures thriller "The International" says The Hollywood Reporter.

Clive Owen, Naomi Watts and Armin Mueller-Stahl star in the action-thriller about an obsessive Interpol agent who investigates corruption, murder and arms dealing amongst the world's most powerful banking institutions.

Eric Singer wrote the original script, and shooting begins in September at Berlin's Babelsberg Studios.
