During an interview with Jonathan Ross at the Live Earth concert on Saturday, Ricky Gervais he was teaming up with Chris Rock for a new cop-themed comedy.

In "Badge Buddies" which shoots next year, Gervais says "I play a guy. My partner's retired and I get lumbered with him [Rock], and he's an ex-gang member" who specifically iterates that it's "not really" a buddy cop comedy and has a twist.
