  • "Mars" & "Jericho" End, "24" & "Hill" Live
    By Garth FranklinWednesday May 16th 2007 12:52pm
image Whilst the full line-up won't be announced til tomorrow, early word has come down that The CW has renewed many of its more successful series for another season except one big one - "Veronica Mars."

The critically acclaimed "Mars," along with comedy "All of Us," won't be back in the Fall. Talk of a completely reinvented "Mars" set several years after the present season was previously brought up, but looks to have fallen through.

The good news is that sci-fi dramas 'Smallville' and 'Supernatural' and teen soap "One Tree Hill" are all set to come back for another season.

Over on the other networks and CBS has not renewed its serial drama "Jericho". One of the stronger performers in the Fall, the drama went on hiatus and came back in competition against "American Idol" where it got summarily throttled in the ratings.

Fox has locked in "24" for at least two more seasons, despite both ratings and critical response to this past season being notably down on previous years, and star Kiefer Sutherland is set for both seasons.

Expect a breakdown of the full line-up of all three networks for next Fall later today and tomorrow right here on Dark Horizons.
