The Impossible Princess herself, Aussie singer Kylie Minogue, has confirmed rumours that she will appear in hit British sci-fi show "Doctor Who."

Minogue was first rumoured a few weeks back, a rumour which showrunner Russell T Davies denied at the time.

Now in an interview with InStyle magazine reports PR Inside, Minogue herself confirmed the talk - "Yes...my gay husband (stylist, William Baker) is so excited about it! But I'm not going to play a villain."

Minogue is tipped to be in this year's Christmas special episode, due to begin filming late this Summer and airing on Christmas Day in the UK.

The show is currently mid-way through its third season in the UK. That season begins airing States-side in July, kicking off with last year's Christmas special 'The Runaway Bride.'
