  • Tim Roth Is A "Hulk"-ish Abomination
    By Garth FranklinThursday May 10th 2007 12:09am
image Tim Roth is in negotiations to star opposite Ed Norton and Liv Tyler in Marvel Studios and Universal Pictures actioneer "The Incredible Hulk."

The story begins with Bruce Banner on the run, trying to avoid capture long enough to cure the condition that turns him into the Hulk.

Roth would play Emil Blonsky, a vicious mercenary who deliberately exposes himself to larger dose of the gamma rays that caused Bruce Banner to morph into the Hulk.

As a result he turns into the Abomination, a being larger and stronger than the Hulk but unable to change back to human form. The KGB agent aspect of the character is apparently being dropped in favour of the more contemporary soldier-of-fortune angle.

Louis Leterrier is directing from a Zak Penn screenplay. Shooting for the new "Hulk" is slated to begin in June in Toronto.
