In an interview at WonderCon in San Francisco on Saturday, "300" director Zack Snyder revealed that Scotland's new sexual ambassador - actor Gerard Butler who plays the major character in "300" - might be up for a part in Snyder's upcoming "Watchmen" comic adaptation.

"He may" play a role Snyder confirmed to Sci-Fi Wire. Which one? "I don't know yet, but he's fun, so I'm sure we can figure something out for him".

The confirmation comes a few days after Snyder confirmed another high profile actor, Tom Cruise no less, was briefly in talks for the role of Ozymandias but it never eventuated.

Despite being linked to a new project at his production company this weekend, Snyder remains in pre-production on "Watchmen" which is set for a late Summer start.
