  • Whishaw & Goode Visit "Brideshead"
    By Garth FranklinSunday February 11th 2007 12:26am
Matthew Goode ("Match Point") and Ben Whishaw ("Perfume") have been cast in the two key roles for the big-screen adaptation of Evelyn Waugh novel "Brideshead Revisited".

Goode will play Charles Ryder, the character made famous in the U.K. by Jeremy Irons in a previous television adaptation.

Whishaw is cast as the flamboyant aesthete Sebastian Flyte, previously played by Anthony Andrews.

HanWay and Ecosse Films will produce with the script adapted by Andrew Davies and Jeremy Brock. The tone is described as edgier than the previous Merchant Ivory adaptation.
