  • Latifah & Keaton Go For "Money"
    By Garth FranklinThursday January 25th 2007 12:25am
Queen Latifah is in negotiations to join Diane Keaton in the cast of "Mad Money," a remake of the British low-tech heist comedy telemovie "Hot Money".

Based on a true story, it follows well-off housewife Bridget (Keaton) forced back into a job as one of the night janitors at the Federal Reserve bank when her husband gets fired.

Stuck with a mortgage and debt, she figures out a creative way to get money and lots of it with the help of other people in the crew. Latifah will play one of them.

According to Production Weekly the remake will shift the action to contemporary America. "Thelma & Louise" scribe Callie Khouri is directing and production is scheduled to begin late March in Shreveport, Louisiana.
