  • Vantage's Huge "Rambow" & "Move" Buys
    By Garth FranklinWednesday January 24th 2007 12:22am
Paramount Vantage has acquired two films - "How She Move" for around $4 million and "Son of Rambow" for $8 million, the later being easily the biggest buy so far in the history of the Sundance Film Festival.

"How She Move" is an urban drama centered in the world of step dancing, Vantage picked up virtually all worldwide rights to the film from director Ian Iqbal Rashid.

"Son of Rambow" is an 80s-era tale of young friends cut off from pop culture whose life is changed by the first "Rambo" pic. Writer/director Garth Jennings ("The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy") helmed the project.
