  • Miyazaki Opts For A "Little Boy"
    By Garth FranklinMonday January 8th 2007 1:32am
Its now confirmed according to FilmIck that Japanese animation genius Hayao Miyazaki ("Spirited Away", "Howl's Moving Castle") will next be working on an adaption of the Chinese children's novella "I Lost my Little Boy".

The project, which some are saying will likely be his last, is unusual in that the novella was heavily inspired by previous Miyazaki films and so might incorporate elements of his earlier work.

The story revolves around a young boy dying from heart disease who still manages to go on and have some great adventures. Miyazaki is said to be creating film's storyboards in watercolor because of the movie's "unusual visual style."
