Emily Mortimer has joined the cast of Brad Anderson's ("The Machinist") crime thriller "Transsiberian" for Filmax Entertainment says The Hollywood Reporter.
Mortimer is stepping in for the previously announced Samantha Morton who was forced to drop out because of a recent injury due to a ceiling collapse.
The film revolves around an American couple, Roy (Woody Harrelson) and Jessie (Mortimer), who travel on the famed Trans-Siberian train from China to Moscow.
They soon encounter another couple, Abby (Kate Mara) and her boyfriend, Carlos (Eduardo Noriega), and what seems to be a simple train journey turns into a chase full of deception and murder.
Ben Kingsley and Thomas Kretschmann play Russian police officers hot on the trail of the couples.
"Transsiberian", which began production last week in Lithuania, will shoot on location in Beijing and Russia.
