Randall Miller ("Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing & Charm School") has been signed to direct "Bottle Shock".
The story follows the birth of the Napa wine industry and ends in the triumph of California wines over the French at the 1976 Paris Tastings.
Ross Schwartz penned the screenplay and shooting is set to begin Summer 2007 in Napa and Sonoma reports Variety.
This is not to be confused with "Judgment of Paris", an indie film adaptation announced two weeks ago of George M. Tabor's nonfiction book about same 1976 tasting in Paris. Robert Mark Kamen is penning that script.
