Bob Hoskins will star opposite Canadian actor Nicholas Campbell in "The Englishman's Boy," a Canadian telefilm from director John Smith ("Revenge of the Land") says Reuters.
Hoskins will play an ambitious movie producer in 1920s Hollywood who asks a young Canadian writer, played by Michael Therriault, to track down an elusive Western actor (Campbell) whose story will provide the storyline for a new film.
"The Englishman's Boy" was adapted by novelist Guy Vanderhaeghe to become a two-part, four-hour miniseries for the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.
