Michael Madsen, Vinnie Jones and Richard Chamberlain will star in the Irish flick "Strength and Honor" reports Production Weekly.

Set in the contemporary world of boxing in Cork, the story follows Sean Kelleher (Madsen) who promises his dying wife he will never box again after accidentally killing his friend in the ring.

He is forced to break his oath in order to raise funds to save his young son, who has been diagnosed with the same life threatening condition that took his wife. Jones plays his arch rival Smasher O'Driscoll, whilst Chamberlain will Sean's boxing coach.

Mark Mahon is making his directorial debut on the film which he penned, and starts filming mid-September.
