There's various people somewhat annoyed right now in Los Angeles. Of course there's your usual crowd - out of work actors busting tables, filmmakers disappointed that their last big budget epic didn't fly, pot-smoking writers overly enjoying those Mulholland Drive lesbian scenes, or editors mildly disappointed that their friendly dinner date with all the right curves was far too chaste at the end of the night.
However if you were to take a poll right now, one wouldn't be surprised if those about to read this news would eclipse those. It seems that Sony Pictures and MGM are moving forward with a sequel to this year's "The Pink Panther," hiring newcomers Scott Neustadter and Michael M. Weber to write it says The Hollywood Reporter.
The plot for the "Panther" sequel is being kept under wraps, though it has been described as high concept. Robert Simonds returns as the producer, while Steve Martin is on board to reprise his role as Inspector Jacques Clouseau. The writing duo sold their anti-romantic comedy spec "(500) Days of Summer" to Fox Searchlight as well.
