    By Garth FranklinThursday July 27th 2006 2:32am
Walt Disney Feature Animation is getting back into the business of traditional animation with "The Frog Princess," a new twist on a classic fairy tale reports the trades.

Pixar Animation Studios bigwigs turned Disney Animation's new leaders Ed Catmull and John Lasseter are interested in exploring Disney's 2-D tradition. Last time Disney made a 2-D feature was 2004 flop "Home on the Range".

The studio is putting "The Little Mermaid" and "Aladdin" scribes John Musker and Ron Clements in charge of developing "Frog," which will put a female spin on the tale of the Frog Prince. Composer Alan Menken will handle the music.
