Disney Pictures has postponed the start of its gridiron comedy "The Game Plan" thanks to star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson rupturing his Achilles tendon during rehearsals on Monday reports the trades.
Johnson, who plays a professional quarterback in the film, will undergo surgery on Friday in Miami and production has been put on hiatus until he can resume his role in the film. At this time no word on when that will be.
Johnson played on a Miami Hurricanes team that won the National Championship, and did a brief stint in the Canadian Football League before he turned to pro wrestling.
