- Darren Aronofsky's magical looking "The Fountain" has finally set a release date - October 13th. Its major competition now is the WWI pilot actioneer "Flyboys" and Sofia Coppola's new take on the life of French queen "Marie Antoinette"
- "Shaun of the Dead" helmer Edgar Wright and actor Simon Pegg unleash British cop comedy "Hot Fuzz" on March 9th 2007.
- Whilst not official, its all but certain that Warners has pushed back Brad Pitt starrer "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" several months from September 15th to an unspecified early 2007 date. The film would have to be rushed to met its current date, and publicity for it would interfere with Pitt's "Ocean's Thirteen" shooting commitments in the early Fall.
- Zach Braff drama "The Last Kiss" has been moved up a few weeks to September 15th. It'll face off against The Rock football drama "Gridiron Gang", animated family film "Everyone's Hero", and Brian DePalma's period thriller "The Black Dahlia".
- Warners will unleash the Martin Scorsese-directed DiCaprio/Damon undercover drama "The Departed" on the crowded October 6th weekend. The film will be up against kiddie spy franchise "Stormbreaker", New Line's "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" prequel, Jude Law/Anthony Minghella thriller "Breaking and Entering", and Cannes award winning Brad Pitt/Cate Blanchett drama "Babel".
- Dimension will release the Stephen King horror story about a severely disturbing hotel room "1408" on May 18th 2007, head to head against "Shrek the Third".
- The appetising horror film "Blood and Chocolate" can be tasted from Janury 26th 2007.
- Dimension will unleash gigantic crocodile horror flick "Rogue" on February 2nd 2007
