Tunisian director-writer Ridha Behi has begun shooting footage in Cannes for a new documentary-style fictional film titled "Citizen Brando," based in part on a film project he and Marlon Brando started but were unable to finish because of Brando's death reports the trades.
As announced at the Festival de Cannes two years ago, the original film -- which was to be called "Brando and Brando" - was to tell the story of a Tunisian boy who travels to the U.S. in hopes of meeting Brando, who was to play himself in the film. Helmer Behi spent six months working on the pic with Brando in his home.
Christopher Walken, Khaled Abou Naja and Hend Sabri also star. Shooting will continue in the U.K., Tunisia and U.S. over the next six weeks
