Don Cheadle and Chiwetel Ejiofor will star in "Talk to Me" for Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and Focus Features says The Hollywood Reporter.

The project, which begins filming next month, centers on the real-life story of Ralph Waldo "Petey" Green (Cheadle), an ex-con who courted controversy at a white-owned radio station and became an iconic Washington-area on-air personality in the 1960s.

Ejiofor will play Dewey Hughes, producer of Green's show. Kasi Lemmons ("Eve's Bayou") will helm from a script penned by Michael Genet with revisions from Rick Famuyiwa and Lemmons. Shooting begins in June.
