Scott Free Productions will produce "The Killing Sea," based on Richard Lewis' upcoming novel, for Fox 2000 with Ridley Scott eyeing the director's chair reports Variety.
Book, to be published by Simon & Schuster in December, concerns an Indonesian boy and an American girl brought together in the aftermath of the 2004 tsunami. Lewis grew up as the son of missionaries in Indonesia, where he still lives.
