Warner Bros. Pictures has picked up the rights to the upcoming children's book "Larklight" by Philip Reeve.
According to today's trades the book, to be published in November, is the first of a Victorian-era space-adventure trilogy in which a brother and sister team with a band of renegade space pirates to save the world from destruction at the hands of a madman.
Reeve's other books include "Mortal Engines," "Darkling Plain," "Predator's Gold," "Infernal Devices" and the Buster Bayliss series. Denise Di Novi will produce.
