Initially called "Fred Claus", that title has been shelved because of a potential rights issue. Dan Fogelman penned the script, based on an original story by Nelson.     "SNL stars Andy Samberg and Jorma Taccone have signed on to star in Paramount Pictures' comedy "Hot Rod". "Hot Rod" centers on an accident-prone daredevil (Samberg) who plans to jump the Snake River on a moped to emulate his hero Evel Knievel in order to win over his hard-to-please stepfather. Akiva Schaffer will make his feature directorial debut on the pic, penned by Pam Brady, and a tentative July start date has been set..." (full details)

    "Extra interviewed Bruce Willis on the set of his new psychological thriller "Perfect Stranger" and says both a sequel to "16 Blocks" and a new "Die Hard" are in the works - "They're both being written. We've to throw a few more 'old man' jokes in the Die Hard script, while we do that...we might bring Jack Mosley back". Willis says "I can honestly tell you that Bonnie Bedelia and Reginald VelJohnson, from the first films, are the only guys we've talked about bringing back.
