Fox has planted Jim Carrey-Ben Stiller comedy "Used Guys," set in a futuristic world run by women who buy and sell male clones for sexual duties, for a Memorial Day 2007 release (May 25th) . In that popular slot, the film will face stiff competition from earlier May openers like the third films in the "Shrek" and "Spider-Man" franchises.
Sony has continued clearing its crowded 2006 schedule by pushing back Jennifer Garner romantic comedy "Catch and Release" to early 2007. Its April 28th slot will instead be used for the Robin Williams comedy "R.V." which will be pushed back a month.
Fox is also giving a February 17th theatrical run this year to the previously DVD-bound, Eddie Murphy-less sequel "Dr. Dolittle 3". Lionsgate has pushed back "La mujer de mi hermano" to April, and finally Disney has delayed "Goal!" two months to May 12th.
