Spanish thesp Elena Anaya ("Van Helsing") will play the love interest in "Miguel and William," Ines Paris' fictional account of a friendship between William Shakespeare and "Don Quixote" author Miguel de Cervantes reports Variety.

The film is described as a "romantic comedy that speculates about what happened to a young Shakespeare during the four years when he disappears from historical records" says producer Antonio Saura.

Anaya's fellow "Van Helsing" actor-dancer Will Kemp ("Mindhunters") has also joined as Shakespeare, Juan Luis Galiardo ("The Girl of Your Dreams") as Cervantes and Geraldine Chaplin. Filming begins in late February.
