Many people I know would love to be Paul Walker's "daddy", but now it looks like a certain Oscar winner has won the role. Empire Online reports that Walker has joined Anthony Hopkins in the Ernest Hemingway project "Papa".

Director Adrian Noble is handling the project with shooting scheduled to begin Summer/Early Fall. The script is what sold Walker - "This wasn't at all calculated or 'I want to go do this, do that', I just read it and was like 'Fuck! I gotta make this movie!' Hopefully it'll stay up, right?".

Roger Donaldson was originally scheduled to direct but has since bowed out. Walker talks extensively about the storyline here.
